SERVING ROCHESTER, NY + BEYOND

FOOD & BEVERAGE PHOTOGRAPHY

For foodies, by a foodie

Welcome to the place where where tastefully-crafted imagery and content strategy go hand-in hand.

Hi, I’m Shauna!

And I’m a pro-trained Food Photographer with over 12 years of culinary and marketing experience.

They say you eat with your eyes – BUT, as a culinary grad turned marketing pro, there’s more to getting customers than pretty pictures!

That’s why with each food photography package, you’ll receive full-service perks like creative strategy and direction, mood board creation, and concepting to ensure the work we create aligns with your brand.

Plus, your food imagery is always infused with a thoughtfully-crafted content strategy – so your photos don’t only look good – but so it gets your products in the hands (and mouths) of your ideal customers!

Sick of posting the same-old, tired, poor-lit iPhone pics to your feed?

YOUR FOOD DESERVES BETTER.

Struggling to make your food look pretty for the ‘gram? Sick of the blurry shots you catch in the kitchen at the last-minute? Photos coming out dark so you have nothing to show for on your website?

Well, say no more! As a professionally-trained food photographer and culinary grad, I’m confident I can help you take your food and beverage imagery to the next level. And because I lived in the food world for so long, I understand the art of cooking. This means no detail is forgotten. No ideas are left unheard. And no ingredient is off the table (unless of course, from an aesthetic standpoint it doesn’t look right 😜).

FAQs

Our initial meeting is a way for me to get to know your business a bit more! We’ll chat about your goals and content needs so I can get you an accurate project estimate and to see if we’d be a good fit!

After that, we’ll kick things off with an in-depth onboarding call to discuss strategy and action steps ahead!

Sure do! Usually we start off with food photography or a la carte content creation and eventually combine the two to create a completely custom package of your own.

If you’re local to Rochester, NY, absolutely! Outside the area but still want to collaborate? Then, get in touch to discuss how I can travel to you!

I use a Canon EOS R6 Mark II and a Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 as my primary lens for most photoshoots (affiliate links). While natural light is my preference, I also use my Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash as well as some freestanding light sources when needed.

Yes! I have a beautiful newly remodeled at-home studio with plenty of natural light, neutral decor, and live plants. It’s fully equipped with a variety of food photography props and backdrops to suit any style of photography – plus I have access to a modern kitchen for recipe development or process shots.

This depends on the complexity of your project. For basic food photography, I can usually delivery the images within 2 weeks after the shoot. For shoots involving travel, numerous deliverables, and multiple parties, it could be longer.

I enjoy working with artisanal food companies, farm to table restaurants, and brands that use high-quality ingredients in their dishes and products. Some of my favorite clients partner with local vendors to source ingredients for their signature recipes and produce them right in-house.

While food and product is my specialty, I am always up for a creative challenge! Check out some of my lifestyle and portrait work, here!
