For foodies, by a foodie

Welcome to the place where where tastefully-crafted imagery and content strategy go hand-in hand.

Hi, I’m Shauna!

And I’m a pro-trained Food Photographer with over 12 years of culinary and marketing experience.

They say you eat with your eyes – BUT, as a culinary grad turned marketing pro, there’s more to getting customers than pretty pictures!

That’s why with each food photography package, you’ll receive full-service perks like creative strategy and direction, mood board creation, and concepting to ensure the work we create aligns with your brand.

Plus, your food imagery is always infused with a thoughtfully-crafted content strategy – so your photos don’t only look good – but so it gets your products in the hands (and mouths) of your ideal customers!

Sick of posting the same-old, tired, poor-lit iPhone pics to your feed?

Struggling to make your food look pretty for the ‘gram? Sick of the blurry shots you catch in the kitchen at the last-minute? Photos coming out dark so you have nothing to show for on your website?

Well, say no more! As a professionally-trained food photographer and culinary grad, I’m confident I can help you take your food and beverage imagery to the next level. And because I lived in the food world for so long, I understand the art of cooking. This means no detail is forgotten. No ideas are left unheard. And no ingredient is off the table (unless of course, from an aesthetic standpoint it doesn’t look right ๐Ÿ˜œ).

My full-service packages go beyond the lens to offer you a complete creative experience.

Here’s just a few options that can be tailored to your needs

We’ll develop a creative brief for the shoot and work on a content strategy to ensure your photos align with your brand and marketing goals.โ

As a former culinary student and someone who has worked in the hospitality field for almost 10 years, I get food and the art of making it. Allow me to help you incorporate your product into a delightful new recipe!

Making food look pretty is what I do. I’ll select ingredients, props, and backgrounds to highlight the natural colors, textures, and shapes of your dish or product.

Photography is just the beginning. Let’s work together on a variety of food content like short-form video, stop-motion, marketing assets, and beyond.

*Due to the custom nature of my packages, pricing will vary based on image use, number of images, complexity of project, and deliverables needed. Please fill out my contact form so I can get you an accurate project estimate ๐Ÿ™‚

Allow me to come to you.

Are you a restaurant, cafรฉ, or other food biz in the Rochester area? Then, let’s work some photography magic right on site! Packages range from 45-minute mini sessions, to half and full-day sessions. Pricing is determined by the final number of images and deliverables needed.

โ€œShauna focuses on MOMENTS. I like that she took the tiny little individual moments that make up our day and captured those. Fantastic experience. Sheโ€™ll make you look good.โ€

This collaboration featured action-shots of the sauce making process, all the way to the packaging and boxing of Rochester’s very own, Guglielmo’s Sauce.

– Pauly

โ€œShauna is very easy to talk to and also clearly a professional. Her quality of work was excellent and I liked the extra attention to detail in adding lovely blurred backgrounds and props that matched the product. Video was a nice touch!โ€

This project featured a variety of in-package iced tea flavors as well as a styled setup and stop motion pour of their popular โ€œPeachy Keenโ€ iced tea.

– Cynthia

“Shauna has a great eye and is seamless to work with. I loved seeing our products through her lens. It gives us a fresh and different view of our favorites!”

For this session, we styled and captured the farm-fresh ingredients and rustic charm of Farmhouse Table Food’s signature charcuterie displays and grazing stations.

– Jessica

“Shauna was a consummate professional, supplying a smile and quality photos and services! Working with her gave me some creative ideas to further our marketing.”

This styled shoot featured a variety of red, white, and fruit wines – including the wine cellar’s newest small-batch artisan collection, VineCraft Wine.

Our initial meeting is a way for me to get to know your business a bit more! Weโ€™ll chat about your goals and content needs so I can get you an accurate project estimate and to see if we’d be a good fit!

After that, weโ€™ll kick things off with an in-depth onboarding call to discuss strategy and action steps ahead!

Sure do! Usually we start off with food photography or a la carte content creation and eventually combine the two to create a completely custom package of your own.

If you’re local to Rochester, NY, absolutely! Outside the area but still want to collaborate? Then, get in touch to discuss how I can travel to you!

I use a Canon EOS R6 Mark II and a Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 as my primary lens for most photoshoots (affiliate links). While natural light is my preference, I also use my Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash as well as some freestanding light sources when needed.

Yes! I have a beautiful newly remodeled at-home studio with plenty of natural light, neutral decor, and live plants. It’s fully equipped with a variety of food photography props and backdrops to suit any style of photography – plus I have access to a modern kitchen for recipe development or process shots.

This depends on the complexity of your project. For basic food photography, I can usually delivery the images within 2 weeks after the shoot. For shoots involving travel, numerous deliverables, and multiple parties, it could be longer.

I enjoy working with artisanal food companies, farm to table restaurants, and brands that use high-quality ingredients in their dishes and products. Some of my favorite clients partner with local vendors to source ingredients for their signature recipes and produce them right in-house.

While food and product is my specialty, I am always up for a creative challenge! Check out some of my lifestyle and portrait work, here!
