The magic is in the foreground. ✨ (well, for this photo at least!)⁣
I've been playing around with foregrounds a lot lately and I just love how it adds a new layer of depth and interest to my photos.

In this particular image, I used a large aperture to create a shallow depth of field between my foreground (the branches) and subject (the apples) 🍎

But you can also do this the reverse way with your background - and if you really want to get creative - with BOTH!

What if I’m not local to you?
No worries, you can send your product to me! I have an at-home studio that’s fully-equipped with a variety of props and backdrops to suit any style of food photography.

How soon can you get me images?
This depends on the complexity of your project. For basic food photography, I can usually delivery the images within 2 weeks after the shoot. For shoots involving travel/shipments, numerous deliverables, and multiple parties, it could be longer.

What brands do you typically work with?
I enjoy working with artisanal food companies, farm to table restaurants, and brands that use high-quality ingredients in their dishes and products.

August was a BUSY one for me, behind the camera. 📸

So today, I figured I'd step in front of the camera for a good ole' Friday introduction. ☺️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's a bit about me in case you just started following along!
⁣
1) I'm a first-time mama to this gorgeous and adventurous little strawberry blondie, named Brody. He had his first birthday this summer and I'm not ok! 🥹
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2) I'm a foodie (duh lol). In fact, I have a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts and never really talked about it because I never did anything with it. I actually wanted to own a catering company or be a pastry chef, but didn't like the idea of working on weekends, so got my degree in Journalism and PR.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3) I'm really good at decorating cakes (and baking in general). I spent years in college decorating, baking, and creating product displays at 3 bakeries (@Wegmans Patisserie, being one of them!) 🎂⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4) I studied marketing abroad in Italy years ago (weird, right? lol) If I could've re-done the program, I would've taken the culinary, photography, or art route.

5) When my hands are busy creating something, I'm in my happy place. This includes cooking, photography, crafting, and styling, to name a few :)
